Secure Export Links / URL’s, Expiration set to 7 days
For customer that have made use of the managed services export links provided by the Archive Services team in the past, it should be noted that with immediate effect that the links we provide will now only be valid for 7 days (previously up-to 28 days). This is service where the customer has requested the bulk export of a subset of or all data within an archive as a chargeable service only, and does not affect the way the applications work with exports.
This is due to a forced changed by Amazon’s AWS S3 services and is not something that Barracuda has control over.
We ask our partners / customers to be aware of this situation and ensure that the customers download their data well before the expiry of the secure links.
Should it be conceived that you will not be able to download the data within this time frame, We shall generate the links for the customer 1 additional time if requested through the ticket. After the secondary request, additional charges shall be applicable for the generation of the links. It should also be noted that the data exported from an archive will still be available as per the normal, of up to 28/30 days after initial export, after which the exported data copy will automatically be purged. Again should a customer fail to download the data within this time frame, additional charges will be applicable for performing a new export of the requested data.

Customers can still obtain their data by making use of one of the following options:
Online storage facilities:
Resources such as a customer's FTP site, Amazon S3 storage, Azure etc can be used for the storage of the data online. Customers would have their own safe storage location and provide us temporary access to transfer the data securely to their own storage accounts. This would be a relatively quick process, as once all the data is exported, it can be transferred to the customer choice of online storage service.
Media transport:
For an additional charge, customers can opt to have their data transferred to an AWS Snow Device which is shipped to their network location. There is a basic charge for use of the device for a limited number of days at your facility, during which you transfer the exported data to your network, and then, if additional days are needed, an additional charge for each additional day. Your account representative can provide the specific pricing for an appropriate Snow Device for your export job.
