The Profanity Alert notifies you when profane terms are sent or received via email. Based on a publicly available list created by Google, the profanity alert consists of approximately 450 terms* including curse words, racist, homophobic, and xenophobic language, and disparaging terms for women and people with disabilities.
The Profanity Alert is disabled by default. To enable or edit the alert, follow the instructions for creating/editing/enabling/disabling an alert.
The alert name, description, and profanity list are not editable. You can update delivery options based on your preferences.
* Because of its offensive nature, we do not publish a list of the terms. Currently, users cannot add or remove terms from this list. Please contact us with requests to view or edit the list.
